With Board of Curators approval, Mizzou’s new strategic plan launched in September 2024 with goals and strategies encompassing three themes— student success, research and scholarship, and meaningful engagement. These objectives focus on improving the lives of others and building a better future for the next generation. Each day, our students, faculty and staff advance this plan’s objectives through a shared commitment to a thriving university, collaborating with colleagues and peers on campus, in Missouri and around the globe.

This dashboard outlines the overall progress towards the major goals within each of these three areas through the current academic year.

Promote Student Success: Nine goals related to graduation and retention rates, career success rates, involvement in high-impact practices, and applications for awards and fellowships.

Elevate High-Impact Research, Scholarship & Creative Works: Seven goals that aim to increase research expenditures, support graduate student research funding and prioritize MizzouForward as a strategic initiative for faculty development and scholarship.

Foster Meaningful Outreach & Engagement: Eight goals established to increase Missouri’s agricultural and economic programs through sustainability, education and rural medicine expansion.
